Michael Ferris is a nationally recognized home health authority and works with hospice, home care and private duty agencies to help them leverage knowledge and capitalize on market opportunities.

He is the national expert in the areas of sales, marketing and customer service for home care and hospice agencies. Michael is the founder of Home Care and Hospice Marketing Solutions, the leading consulting, training and publishing company dedicated to helping home care and hospice companies grow their referrals.

Among his many works, Michael publishes a monthly sales and marketing column for CARING magazine, and his articles are featured in many other trade publications. He is also a featured speaker at national and state association meetings and conferences.

Mike believes that home care is an industry populated with incredible people that do not get the credit for their greatness.  It is his belief that home care is based on relationships and that the least expensive and most effective method of long term business growth, as well as staff recruitment and retention, is obtained by focusing on legendary service and sales and marketing for legendary results.  In his work with home care professionals he aspires to reconnect them with their passion for home care and to provide them the tools and ideas to foster great relationships.

His home care career began in 1995 as an entrepreneur seeking to participate in the transition of Medicare home care to a prospective payment system.  He built an independent freestanding agency from zero to the seventh largest in the Houston Metropolitan Area in less than five years.  His agency was founded on the belief that a keen focus on quality and customer service would provide the basis for success.  Prior professional experience includes investment banking and several startups.  He has served on the PPS Task Force for the National Association for Home Care, chair of the Government Affairs Committee for the Texas Association for Home Care and founding board member and president for the Gulf Coast Home Care Council.  Mike also founded the Kiwanis Club of the Texas Medical Center and served as its charter president.
